A large Charleston delegation gathered at the Battle of the Ravine, on Saturday, November 16th, to watch the Henderson State Reddies defeat the Ouachita Baptist Tigers 60-52 in triple overtime in final game of regular season. The victory by Henderson State capped their second straight undefeated conference championship. Henderson State fell to St. Cloud State 40-35, in the first round of the NCAA Division II Playoffs on Saturday, November 23. The Reddies ended the season with an 11-1 record, their second GAC title, and third conference title in four seasons and finished the regular season ranked No. 4 in the AFCA Coaches Poll. Ouachita Baptist, has accepted an invitation to play in the C.H.A.M.P.S. Heart of Texas Bowl in Copperas Cove, Texas, this Saturday, Dec. 7. The 7-3 Tigers of the Great American Conference will face the 7-3 Tarleton State Texans.
