Wynona Campbell, who resided in Charleston, Arkansas, passed away Friday, August 8, 2014 in Fort Smith. She was born June 5, 1922 in Logan County, Arkansas near Paris to the late Elmer Dill and Ethel (Moses) Dill. She was 92 years old. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Cecil Campbell; one son, Bobby Britt Campbell; and one brother, Joey Dill.
Wynona was the manager at the Hill Company (Charleston Shirt Factory) in Charleston for several years. She also worked for Lady Fair Mills near Ratcliff and was a member of First Baptist Church in Charleston.
Funeral service was held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 12th, 2014 at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston, with the Rev. Larry Horne officiating. Burial was held at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Charleston, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.
She is survived by one daughter, Judy McDonald and husband Jerry of Charleston; two sons, Garry Campbell and wife Tina of Greenwood and Dale Campbell of Charleston; five grandchildren, Rusty McDonald and wife Jennifer of Charleston, Joel McDonald and wife Deidra of Charleston; Kimberly White and husband Clay of Irvine, California, Rodney Campbell of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Summer Brassfield and husband Dustin of Charleston; seven great-grandchildren; and two special friends and caretakers, Kenny and Cindy Hewitt.
Pallbearers were Rusty McDonald, Colton McDonald, Jeremy McDonald, Ryan McDonald, Andy McDonald, Shaun (McDonald) Barnett, Rodney Campbell, Dustin Brassfield, and Kenny Hewitt.
