Michael Adams

Michael Adams, 60 of Fort Smith passed away to his new home in heaven on Jan 8th, 2014 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Kentucky to the late Hugh Adams and Georgia Finley. He was a 911 dispatch officer for the Fort Smith Police Dept for the past 17 years. He also served 10 years with the Paris Police Dept. He loved music and could make the guitar sound like magic. He loved getting together with all his friends to have a good time. He was of Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his father Hugh Adams, mother Georgia Finley, brother Billy Adams and sister Janie Adams.

He is survived by his loving wife Martha of 24 years, brother Garland Adams of Ringgold, GA, sister Ruth Wagner of Ringgold, GA, stepchildren Cindy Miller of Kerhonkson NY, Carie Holloway and husband Del of Fort Smith, Josh Watson of Charleston. A special grandson Thess Holloway and Mike’s little furry buddy “Buttons”.

Funeral was held at 2pm Saturday, January 11, 2014 at Smith Mortuary in Charleston with burial following at Mt Hope Cemetery north of Charleston.

Honorary Pallbearers were the Fort Smith Police Dept. Jimmy Cook and Jose Dabdub officiated the service with sharing from close friends.
