John Charles Decker, who resided near Greenwood, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, January 23, 2014 in Fort Smith, Arkansas He was born February 23, 1964 in Fort Smith to Bobby Glen Decker and Aileen M. (Inklebarger) Decker. He was 49 years old. He was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Glen Decker and one brother, Michael Decker.
John was owner and operator of Pizza Parlour on Rogers Ave. in Fort Smith and was an avid fisherman.
Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 28th, 2014 at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston, with the Rev. John Treude officiating. Burial will be at Mayberry Cemetery in Central City, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Charleston.
He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Karen (Case) Decker; three sons, Jonathan Decker of Van Buren, Justin Decker and wife Melanie of Fort Smith, and Chad Decker of Fort Smith; his mother, Aileen Decker of Central City; one sister, Linda Thornburg and husband Robert of Fanshawe, Oklahoma; one brother, Gary Decker of Central City; four grandchildren, David and Jordan of Sallisaw and Caleb and Madison of Fort Smith; a close brother and sister-in-law, Bobby and Jackie Dolan of Fort Smith, and two special nephews whom he loved very much, Chris Dolan and his fiancee’ Ashley and Matthew Dolan, all of Fort Smith.
Pallbearers were Bobby Dolan II, Chris Dolan, Matthew Dolan, Jeff Fenwick, Jay Bob Puckett, and Derek Roberds.
