Gladys Faye Conway, who resided in Charleston, Arkansas, passed away Monday, September 9, 2013 at the Methodist Health & Rehab Center in Fort Smith. She was born August 8, 1916 in Lavaca, Arkansas to the late Albert K. Patterson and Mary Roberta (Ingram) Patterson. She was 97 years old. She was also preceded in death by her two husbands, Thomas Edwards and Michael Conway; one sister, Cuba Ray, and one brother, Fred Patterson.
Gladys was a homemaker and member of Lavaca First Baptist Church.
Funeral service was held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 12th, 2013 at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston, with the Rev. Curtis Smithson officiating. Burial followed at Forest Park Cemetery in Fort Smith, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Charleston.
She is survived by two daughters, Shirley Doyel of Barling and Aleta Sewell and husband Otha of Barling; one brother, J.C. “Jake” Patterson and wife Norma of Lavaca; (6) grandchildren, (15) great-grandchildren, and (11) great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by a special friend, Pam Zeiler of Ozark.
Pallbearers were Cole Sisemore, Connor Sisemore, Cade Sisemore, Cooper Sisemore, Austin Gattis, and James Gattis.
