A.C. Banning

A.C. Banning, 83, of Charleston, AR passed away Sunday, January 12, 2014 in Fort Smith, AR. He was born April 15, 1930, in Cecil, AR to Alec Banning and Vera Pippin Banning; he was a member of Northside Baptist Church, a retired coal miner and member of the United Mine Workers Association and a retired farmer. He is preceded in death by his parents and son-in-law Jim, two brothers and two sisters.

Service was held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 16, 2014 at Northside Baptist Church with interment at Garden of Memories, under the direction of Smith Mortuary of Charleston.

He is survived by four daughters, Charlotte Parsons, of Paris, Connie Gragg of Russellville, AR, Paula Parker of Ratcliff and Shelly Banning-Tippin, MD Dardanelle, AR; one sister Phyllis Lemmons, of Fort Smith, AR; Freeda Banning, mother of his youngest daughter; ten grandchildren. A special thanks goes to Kathy Berry, Pam and Lori all of First National Bank in Charleston.
