A.C. Banning

A.C. Banning, 83, of Charleston, AR passed away Sunday, January 12, 2014 in Fort Smith, AR. He was born April 15, 1930, in Cecil, AR to Alec Banning and Vera Pippin Banning; he was a member of Northside Baptist Church, a retired coal miner and member of the United Mine Workers Association and a retired farmer. He is preceded in death by his parents and son-in-law Jim.

Service will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 16, 2014 at Northside Baptist Church with interment at Garden of Memories, under the direction of Smith Mortuary of Charleston.

He is survived by two daughters, Connie Gragg of Russellville, AR and Shelly Banning-Tippin, MD and her husband Philip Tippin, MD of Dardanelle, AR; one sister Phyllis Lemmons, of Fort Smith, AR; Freeda Banning, mother of his youngest daughter; grandchildren Tony Gragg, of Dardanelle; Taylor Michelle Tippin, of Dardanelle and Alex Tippin of Dardanelle. A special thanks goes to Kathy Berry, Pam and Lori all of First National Bank in Charleston.
