Rita Wigington Announces For Franklin County Clerk

With friends and family support and very much prayer, I, Rita (Fisher) Wigington am announcing my candidacy for Franklin County Clerk.

I am a 1982 graduate of Pleasant View high school where my husband Travis and I live in the same community. I have two grown children, 2 grandchildren and 3 step grandchildren.

I have worked in the county clerk’s office for approximately 14 years, full and part-time, serving as chief deputy clerk the last 7 months. My primary duty was county payroll and employee insurance coordinator, although I have working knowledge of all duties of the office. I enjoy working with the ever changing election process.

I also have certified training as a health care coordinator, and have worked in that capacity for many years in the Mercy health system in Ft. Smith and Ozark.

As a democrat I will put the needs of the people, county employees and business of the County Clerk’s office before my personal obligations.

The County Clerk’s office is a very important part of county government and I believe I have the qualifications, commitment and integrity that the office demands to keep the county moving forward into a more efficient county government.

If elected I will be committed to working with all county government officials, employees and general public for a smooth running, efficient office. Therefore I am asking for your vote and support in the upcoming election on May 20, 2014.
