Former Charleston Tiger, Ryan McDonald runs for yardage during the Henderson State Reddie’s 75-14 victory over McKendree University on September 14. Ryan rushed for 118 yards on 14 carries in that game.
Ryan, the GAC’s top rusher, carried the ball 12 times and totaled 101 yards while scoring on touchdown runs of 32 and 29 yards last Saturday during the Reddie’s 63-31 victory over East Central University. It was the third consecutive week that Ryan eclipsed the 100-yard plateau. He leads the Reddies in rushing, averaging 108.8 yards per game and is tied as their top scorer with 6 touchdowns on the season.
Henderson State, 4-0, opened the season with an 82-10 victory over Southern Nazarene University and also defeated Southeastern Oklahoma State University, 44-35.
Henderson State will travel to Alva, Okla. to face Northwestern Oklahoma this Saturday with kickoff slated for 1 p.m.
