Bill Lux, president of the Subiaco Academy Board of Trustees, is proud to announce that Matt Stengel, a 1999 Subiaco Academy graduate (valedictorian), has been selected as the Headmaster of the Academy.
Matt received an M.B.A. in 2004 from the Sam. M. Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas. Prior to coming to Subiaco as Assistant Procurator in 2012, he served as Nursing Home Administrator in Paris for Northport Health Services of Arkansas LLC and as an Economic Analyst for ABF Freight System, Inc. in Ft. Smith. Matt has also served as President of the Paris Area Chamber of Commerce in 2012 and is a member of the Paris St. Joseph’s school board.
Matt has tremendous passion for Subiaco Academy, and brings a rare insight into the complexities of the Academy and recognizes the roles that both tradition and 21st century education play in the development of a Subiaco graduate, Lux said. Moreover, he understands the Academy’s role in producing alumni who will be in service to God, family, and humankind, regardless of their career pursuits, Lux added.
Matt was selected as a result of an extensive nationwide headmaster search. The Board of Trustees would like to extend a special “thank you” to all of the Academy alumni that assisted in this search.
Matt, his wife Mary and their 3 children currently live in Caulksville, but will be relocating to the Academy campus.
