Franklin County Farm Bureau Scholarship
The Franklin County Farm Bureau has established a scholarship to encourage a deserving student in pursuing his/her education. This is a $500 scholarship. The scholarship is to be awarded by the following criteria:
Resident of Franklin County and a graduating senior.
The student should be from an agricultural background or pursuing a career in the agricultural or family and consumer sciences field.
The student should be academically ranked in the top one third of the graduating class.
The student should exhibit outstanding achievement and be an all around good citizen.
The student can apply by submitting a written “essay type” resume explaining his/her qualifications. A high school transcript and ACT assessment is also required. These may be dropped off at the Charleston or Ozark office.
Financial need is not considered.
A scholarship committee from the Franklin County Farm Bureau Board will screen the applications and make a decision.
The scholarship deadline is Wednesday, April 30, 2014.
This scholarship is designed to aid the student passed over by other scholarships. The intention of the Farm Bureau scholarship is to encourage hard working determined students. Hard work and determination is the strength of the county. We continue to be proud of our top achievers, but we do not want to overlook our greatest strength.
