Hello, my name is Cody Sosebee. I am officially announcing my candidacy for Franklin County Judge. I was born here and have made this county my home for forty-two years. My grandparents are V.A. (deceased) and Elba Sosebee of the Webb City community and my parents are Don Sosebee and Dona Sosebee of Charleston. My grandfather helped instill community service early on in my life by serving as Franklin County Treasurer. I also have extended family in the Altus and Coal Hill areas. I’ve spent my life working on our family farm in the Vesta community and making my living in the Professional Rodeo world. After spending twenty plus years managing my successful professional rodeo business, I’ve recently made the decision to shift my focus closer to my local community. While I’ve been active in rodeo, I’ve always been involved in local events as well, such as serving on the South Franklin County Fair Board, Chamber of Commerce and assisting the Charleston Mayor Sherman Hiatt as needed on various community projects. I have served as a substitute teacher for both the Charleston and County Line school districts and as a bus driver for Charleston. I have been appointed to the Charleston Rodeo Board of Directors by the City Council. I am also a past board member of the Arkansas State Rodeo Association. I am an active member of Vesta Baptist Church.
If elected, I will continue to stress the importance of a hard work ethic, common sense and efficiency. I will strive to be approachable and available if elected, and I would appreciate your vote for Franklin County Judge.
