Charleston Library News

Go back in time, in this month’s Adult Book Club when we discuss the funny, Newberry Honor winning, novel Turtle in Paradise. The setting for this Jennifer L. Holm’s book is 1935 and life isn’t like the movies, but then again 11-year-old Turtle is no Shirley Temple. Find out how Turtle endures the Key West summer, living with relatives she’s never met. We’ll talk about the book on Thursday, July 25th.

If you’d like to join the club or would like a copy of Turtle in Paradise just drop by the Charleston Public Library at 12 South School Street or give us a call at 965-2605. Plus stop in and check out our book sale, hardbacks 50¢ and paperbacks for only a quarter!
