Spring has sprung, even if it’s been a chilly start! We have lots of things for you to do at the Charleston Public Library this April.

Give in to your adventurous spirit with “The Hobbit.” Oscar Winning Director Peter Jackson will thrill you in another “Lord of the Rings” style quest. Enjoy this movie for FREE on April 8th at 3:30 p.m in the library’s very own Gym Theater.

Revive your green thumb at our Gardening Program on April 9th at 10 a.m. Get advice from the experts at the Franklin County Extension Office. Plus check out some materials especially designed to improve your Spring garden.

Plus, Legos aren’t just for building anymore! Kids and teens check out what creative and artistic designs you can make while having fun at our Lego Stamping craft on April 18th at 3:30 p.m.

Calling all superheroes! Batman, Spiderman, Superman and YOU! You can be a comic book superhero, too. We’re looking for neighborhood ‘heroes’ to donate comic books for National FREE Comic Book Day on May 1, 2013. If you’d like to donate please drop off your books at the Charleston Public Library on 12 South School Street before May. Thanks community heroes!
