Charleston Chamber Banquet This Saturday
The Charleston Chamber of Commerce Banquet will be held this Saturday, at 7pm in the Charleston Middle School Cafeteria. Ron Harris, Founder and CEO of “A Level Up” will be the guest speaker. He is a gifted leader, dedicated to serving others. His story of victory and overcoming obstacles has inspired thousands globally.
Ron Harris is a gifted leader and servant. His story of victory and overcoming obstacles inspire thousands globally. Ron was born in St. Petersburg. His mother, who is his hero, raised him and four other siblings by herself to be responsible, hardworking adults.
Ron went to Evangel University in Springfield, Mo. where he played football and majored in Radio/TV broadcasting and biblical studies.
Ron also worked at the University of Arkansas with Arkansas Athletes Outreach where his role was mentoring Razorback athletes and helping coordinate community service and career development.
In 2004 Ron launched a youth development organization called A Level Up. ALU is a non profit organization which focuses on a multicultural approach to help “at risk” youth and emerging youth that are leaders in Springdale area and beyond.
In addition to his duties with ALU Ron has been tapped to lead disaster relief efforts globally through Worldwide Missionary Evangelism. He is an ordained minister through WME, which serves as a facilitative covering and mobilizing organization to connect over 400 churches, missions organizations.
WME’s disaster efforts has been involved in global disaster relief has given millions of dollars to support and provide critical needs with housing, building supplies, food, water, medical care. Relief efforts under Ron’s leadership has been working in F -5 Tornadoes in Joplin, Hurricane Isaac, the F- 5 tornado in Moore, Oklahoma, and the devastating typhoon in the Philippines.
Ron Speaks consistently at conferences, special events, bushiness meetings, churches, sports teams, and schools. His goal is to engage, encourage, and inspire each person to be the best that they can be in life. His is also community minded as he has served on many university and school panels, community and church boards, and currently is a jail minister in the Washington County jail. Ron is also an elder and volunteer at his church, Christian Life Cathedral in Fayetteville, under Pastor Steve Dixon.
Ron, his wife Monique, and their two children Nadiyah and Jeremiah, live in Springdale. He was awarded the Presidents award in 2012 from Evangel University and inducted into the Evangel football hall of fame in the fall of 2013.
